Reproduction Stickers, Transfers and Inserts

This set of Major Matt Mason Reproduction Stickers, Transfers and Inserts have been carefully redrawn based on the original art produced by Mattel between 1966 through 1971. This is intended to provide a clean and consistent appearance to MMM vehicles and accessories and to perhaps add a slicker appearance. This may not be everybodies cup-of-tea, but I did these for fun so I hope someone out here finds some enjoyment with this drawings.

Differences and Similarities
Some artwork was very poorly executed by Mattel artists and was (in a few cases) too poor to consider replicating faithfully. In these cases, art from other stickers has been used. An example of this is the inconsistency in the American Flag. While none of the stickers shows this correctly, there are some which are very poor, specifically the Talking Backpack which has only 3 red stripes. The repro version carries the Space Sled flag instead. It's not correct either but it's better.

Colour too was very inconsistent from sticker to sticker. Red, yellow, black, silver and two different blues were used throughout.

The lettering used across the original stickers did vary occasionally but has been standardised here to not more than 3 different families: Eurostyle, Univers and Helvetica Neue. The original heavy condensed font used has not yet been electronically rerawn by the original type foundry which licenced it and therefore it is not availalble for use with these stickers.

Other specific differences have been noted here for each artwork (as I can remember them).

Sheet 1
Space Sled, Space Shelter Pak, Talking Backpack
The metallic effect under the words "Space Sled" cannot be created with the reproducing methods used here (probably inkjet). A closely matching gray colour has been used.

Sheet 2
Space Crawler
The seat back and bottom have been redrawn with a greater precision of position within the cutlines.

Sheet 3
Astro Trac
The seat back and bottom have been made to match the Space Crawler. The font used in the words "Astro Trac" has been replaced with Eurostyle to match general Matt Mason graphics. Cutlines have been repositioned more accurately.

Sheet 4
Space Bubble
The "Hub" decals (3 on each side) have been carefully redrawn to actually form a precise circle when joined, something that the original didn't do. The "Oxygen" and "Hydrogen" words have been reset in Eurostyle.

Sheet 5
Firebolt Space Cannon
The condensed bold font widely used in MMM marketing is not currently available to me and I have used a very similar font for the name instead.
